Innovation is much more than cutting edge technology, new procedures and initiatives along the cancer research continuum are key to foster health equity worldwide:
🤝Partnerships with community health centers are being leveraged to increase participation from historically underrepresented groups in clinical trials.
🌎The Cancer Equity Leaders initiative brings together leading experts to shape policies and strategies that promote cancer health equity.
👥A key innovation in cancer research has been the broader implementation of patient navigation services, which help guide individuals through the complex healthcare system, particularly those from underserved communities.

How can scientific innovations boost #CancerResearch for the benefit of the patients?
🎯Personalized cancer vaccines allow to tailor to an individual’s specific cancer, training the immune system to recognize and attack tumor cells more effectively.
👨🔬Patient-derived organoids allow us to model individual patient tumors in the lab, providing a powerful tool for testing the effectiveness of various treatments before applying them in clinical settings.
🔬Oncolytic viruses are engineered to destroy cancer cells and to stimulate the patients’ immune system targeting the tumors more effectively.
What other innovations would you highlight?
